The Rapture is the time when God reclaims the faithful and leaves the forsaken behind.
Background[edit | edit source]
Christian eschatology[edit | edit source]
The Rapture refers to the belief that before or simultaneously with the second coming of Jesus Christ believers who have died and those still on earth will be raised up to meet the Lord. Those who do not believe will be left behind on earth to face The Great Tribulation.
Some believe The Rapture will take place after The Great Tribulation, while others believe the Rapture will occur before.
Prewrath[edit | edit source]
The Prewrath Rapture is one of several premillennial views on the end-times events and states that Christians will be raptured at the end of time called the Beginning of Sorrows. The Great Tribulation will follow, God's wrath against the ungodly.
The Great Tribulation[edit | edit source]
A period of time where everyone will experience worldwide hardships, disasters, famine, war, pain and suffering which will wipe out more than 75% of all life on the earth.
